Well my interest was in world war one. Well I thought this was going to be an interesting topic because nobody mainly knows how it started. They just know it was before war world 2 and that it the Germans didn't want to give up at all. Well it started when Austria-Hungary was in charge of Serbia. Well there was this place Sarajevo that wanted Serbia to be independent from Austria-Hungary. Well the future heir of the thrown Archduke Franz Ferdinand didn't like it. So he decided to throw a parade with his lovely wife Sofia to show them the power they had. They were threatened that if they showed up there they were going to die.
There was a group called the black hands that were against them. The day of the parade came and the black hands sent seven assassins to kill the future heirs of the thrown. The first six couldn't kill them because they either chickened out, their gun got stuck or they didn't get to see then=m since they change the route of the parade on the last minute. The seven assassin Gavrilo Princip Shot them three times and he killed them. Austria-Hungary was really upset that they had killed the heirs so they decided that Serbia had to give Gavrilo Princip up and if they didn't they were going to declare war on them. So Serbia turned to its ally France and Great Britain and Russia. Austria-Hungary turned to Germany and Italy. They started the war when Austria-Hungary invaded Serbia. It was a crucial war. The United States joined the war years later after the war was almost over.
They joined after the sinking of the Lusitania. They got involved because Americans died in the Lusitania. Since the Americans joined the war the triple entente which was France, Great Britain, and Russia. The central powers were Austria-Hungary, Germany, and Italy, Austria-Hungary and Italy gave up but Germany didn't. So when Germany finally surrender the whole war was blamed on them. They made the Versailles treaty which meant that Germany had to pay for everything. After Germany got blamed they blamed everything on the Jews and other weak people they had. After that Hitler rose to power. I believe it was an interesting thing because if Germany would have never gotten blamed or if they were to surrender when all the central powers were surrendering world war 2 would have never started and probably Hitler would have never rise to power.
For me this is an interesting topic because I like history a lot. It also interested me since most people really don't know what caused world war I and why the Germans had to pay for all the damages made during this war.
I believe Germany had to sacrifice a lot since there money was going down the drain little by little. It also a good topic because its about a war that had a lot of death because of the trenches which I might add is a really dumb way of fighting the war at all times. I believe that people should think twice about going to or starting a war because it may cause a lot of damage to people and to the new generations of the world. I don't also think it damages the people but where they live and where they grow crops and stuff. Well it is really necessary for people to now the damage it causes the enviroment because the enviroment gets damage because o the smell of dead people and all the dead animals that die without it been their fault.
Well I really love talking about history since I'm really good at it. I also choose this topic because I thought it would be interesting since I was kind of learning about it during my history class. I would really love to learn more about it. I think I did a really good job at writing this essay since I put most of the detail. I even added some things that start world war 2 because I think it was interesting. I hope you really like this essay since I took a really long time to get the information and my thoughts into it.
